Modernizing Legacy Access 97 Manufacturing Software
The challenge
The business relied on a full suite of manufacturing tools built in Access 97 and Visual Basic forms. This locked them into outdated software, and core data had to remain in Access while the company struggled with limited accessibility and slow, fragile workflows.
The solution
I created a bridge between the legacy Access 97 system and a modern database, enabling new web‑based tools without disrupting existing operations. This included improved data access for office and shop‑floor teams, communication tools between departments, barcode scanning and tracking, and visual reporting as products moved through production, packaging, and shipping.
